I just watched McCain's concession speech. I like how now he says Obama loves America. Yesterday Obama was a terrorist befriending, unpatriotic marxist. Gotta love the shift in the suck up wind when power changes. Also noticed Palin was crying. I wonder if that's because she knows she's largely responsible for sinking the election for McCain? Naw, she's probably not that smart.

Maybe one more if the Alaskans are smart enough to send Ted "internet tubes" Stevens packing. Though they really love him up there (the airport is even named after him) so he may still win, convicted fellon or not.

She cried? Fuck yeah.

Sorry, but... fuck yeah!

If you guys only knew how important this also is for us coming from, you know, the rest of the world. One could hear a huge, collective, rest-of-the-world sigh of relief tonight.

if Obama wins, drink because you're about to be really really disappointed.
just curious, why do you say that? i mean, i realize that the president only has so much power and is probably the 30th guy down the list of people that actually make decisions, but still.... curious.

because he's not going to "change" a god damned thing. He's not going to end the war in Iraq any time soon, and when he does, he'll just send the troops from Iraq to Afghanistan, and possibly Iran. and his healthcare plan is one of the shittiest i've seen. Obama: the candidate of vague sentiments.

the irony is that this is the only time i've seen him speak that didn't seem wooden and rehearsed so much as before.

edit: ok, if he would have ended it about 10 minutes ago i would have felt that way. this is going on and on and turned into a "woe is me" speech. wtf. he trainwrecks his concessions speech that started off so good.
I liked Bob Dole a lot better after the election when he loosened up and showed his sense of humor and wasn't being controlled by his handlers every minute of the day. I can't believe that McCain was still using the "my friends" line during his concession speech.

Well, that didn't take long. Gotta love modern politics. Election didn't go your way? Sue, impeach, whatever it takes to not accept it. Apparently being a socialist now is illegal, at least in these people's mind. I wish people would get it through their heads that a president has to actually do an illegal act to be charged with impreachment. Disagreeing with them doesn't count.
'Impeach Obama' groups pop up on Facebook

Nov 5 05:49 PM US/Eastern

Barack Obama has not even been sworn in yet as the 44th president of the United States but groups are springing up online calling for his impeachment.
On Facebook, an "Impeach Barack Obama" group has attracted more than 700 members and a lively debate about the Democrat's election victory on Tuesday over Republican John McCain.

Another Facebook group of the same name has 160 members and urges others to join because "we might as well get a head start on the impeachment of Obama."

"There are a lot of Americans out there that do not fully understand the concept of Socialism or Communism which is why they've elected Obama as president," it says.

Yet another Facebook group, "Impeach Barack Hussein Obama," has 160 members.

It decries that Obama "has voiced support for various unconstitutional programs such as the assault weapons ban, universal healthcare, and various schemes for wealth distribution."

"What are we going to do about it? IMPEACH HIM!" it says.

Obama still has some way to go, however, to equal the number of "Impeach George Bush" groups on Facebook, which lists at least 95 such groups with varying membership.

Obama is to be sworn into office on January 20, 2009. He will be the first African-American president of the United States.

Not that it really matters much, but Obama won the 2nd District electorial vote in Nebraska on Friday after they counted all the mail-in ballots. So he got one electorial vote off Nebraska and McCain got the other four. The first time in history Nebraska has split it's electorial vote, and the first vote a Democrat has gotten since 1964.

The ENQUIRER's exclusive bombshell expose as Sen. John McCain's wife, Cindy, is caught with another man!

Not only that but multiple witnesses have caught the pair lip locking on several other occasions.

"I couldn't believe I was watching Cindy McCain passionately kissing and hugging another man!"

That's the stunned reaction of an eyewitness who says he watched in shock - and snapped photos - as the former presidential candidate's wife romantically kissed a long-haired man who resembles "a washed-up '80s rock musician."

Sources told The ENQUIRER investigative team the pair have been seen at concerts and sporting events acting very lovey-dovey

The wealthy blonde heiress and her secret pal have been spotted together around her hometown of Phoenix, Arizona over the past several years, say sources.

The amazing spy photos were snapped April 1, 2006 when Cindy and her companion attended the Tempe Music Festival says the person who took them. The photos are somewhat grainy, but the insider says they depict Senator John McCain's wife, who was greeted by pals at the event as "Cindy."

"To my amazement, Cindy had her hand on his shoulder and was kissing him passionately on his lips," the photog told THE ENQUIRER.

A second witness spotted Cindy and her "mystery man" at a Moody Blues concert "passionately kissing and hugging."

"I couldn't believe it. I remember thinking, 'Go get a room!'

"They kissed and cuddled. While other concertgoers stood up to cheer and sing, Cindy and the guy remained entwined in their seats," the eyewitness said.

While a McCain spokesperson declined comment, for the record, there's a simple matter of math - an 18-year age difference between John McCain, 72 and Cindy, 54.

And while she appeared faithfully by his side at countless campaign rallies, insiders wonder whether she has always been standing by her man.
