i fucking hate slumber party massacre 2 so much. at least joe bob made it interesting. can't believe that tool is mike illitch's son and current CEO.

victor crowley was actually pretty amusing. lots of decent practical effects in the huge kill scenes, lots of goofy '80s throw-back style humor. not my favorite thing in horror films, but was pretty amusing, especially given that i have never seen any of the "hatchet" films.

Haunt - second time viewing this was even better with Joe Bob. still say the only thing that made this film less than what it should have been is the last minute. completely unnecessary tag to a good flick. recommended.

Hack-O-Lantern - wow is this a bad movie. but love the DC Lacroix song!

My entire life is in boxes. Tomorrow is moving day. Because of that, i haven’t watched shit lately, let alone Joe Bob’s Valentine’s Day special. I feel guilty about it. It will be the first thing i watch at the new house, once i get things set up. Hopefully this weekend.

I didn't even know there was a valentines day special. Thanks for mentioning it, I almost missed it!

Didn’t post, but the first thing I watched in the new house was Joe Bob’s Tammy & The T-Rex. Goofy as it sounds but pretty enjoyable, especially with Joe Bob. It was like if Trauma removed their trademark over-the-top gore. I know that’s like talking about removing the sex scenes from porn, but it kind of works for this movie.

Last night, finally finished Joe Bob’s second V-day film, The Love Witch. You know from the first shot what you’re getting into. It’s a technicolor homage to ‘60s era mystery films and all things hitchcock. Quite effective and enjoyable, sometimes unintentionally so, but seeing JBB’s interview with the creator/writer/producer/director, maybe not unintentionally. Took her 7 years to make it apparently, and all quite deliberately. Maybe just amusing because Elaine reminds me of many girls i know or have known.
