Anyone ever use this open source DVD video capture tool? Am finally looking to grab some old band footage and get it up on youtube, this seems to be fairly well regarded.

Yeah, I used to use it all the time, back when it wasn't even as simple as it is now. A great tool. I don't use it as much as I've gotten a lot more picky about my encoding for stuff I'm going to be watching on the big tv. But for most stuff it's just fine, especially your own videos, it's great.
Just cut them up like regular chickens
