stop anybody on any street and ask them to name more than two. see what happens. more people know the ten commandments, i'm sure.

I've always found it amusing that the gun nuts scream they don't want their assault weapons taken away so they can defend their freedoms from the tyrannical government, but they are so focused on the second amendment they don't seem to notice (or care) that the other ones are slowly being watered down and restricted. By the time "they" come for their guns there won't be any other freedoms left to protect anyway.

And we get to catch up with Trevor in the latest Marvel one-shot!

ok, so - first, i merged the three iron man threads into one iron man mega thread. second, i'm doing the "watch an MCU movie per week leading up to infinity war and it works perfectly" thing. which, i guess, is completely incorrect thanks to black panther, but i digress.

finally watched the first iron man, which i had never seen. you guys were right, it was pretty fantastic. then last weekend, re-watched 2 for the first time since the theater. man does that film get way more shit than it deserves. it is a very under-rated flick, and i think i enjoyed it more watching it in such close proximity to the first one. i really dug it. don cheadle is a much better choice than terrance howard for warmachine, btw. i'm glad that lunatic asked for too much money. love don. anyway, point is - iron man 2 is way underrated and gets way more shit than it deserves.

this weekend i guess it's the incredible hulk, which i think actually should have gone between the two iron man films. maybe i'll skip that and go with thor, as it's really just the credit tag that has anything to do with anything MCU in hulk, right? i saw it again not too long ago, also dug that but don't think it's really necessary for MCU viewing.

Hulk does introduce the character of General Ross who comes back in several later films and rumor has it might be Red Hulk in a future film.

i watched it. is this news to anyone? "the military wants to control how they are portrayed onscreen." in the immortal words of gunny hartman, "well... no shit". if filmmakers did not consult the military on their portrayal in films, people would complain about how inaccurate the portrayal was. (also of note, the person i just quoted only exists onscreen because he was brought in as a military consultant on a war film). seemingly the only way to satisfy people would be to simply not make things that portray any arm of intelligence or military in any way. good luck with that. i'd personally much prefer the very transparent military propaganda to the far more insidious socialist and cultural indoctrination propaganda we get these days.

also, brits speaking as experts on the "penta-gun" is amusing.

It's not simply consultation, that's the point. They are getting covert script approval on thousands of movies and shows.

What's this 'socialism' you speak of? Beyond Danny DeVito, I dare you to find me one socialist in Hollywood.
