Ah, I see... So you're the hackney squat equivalent of an interest group. The diamond trade gets angry when DiCaprio makes a film about Sierra Leone, you get angry when a film slanders your trade in pills and powder... Christ

Oh good grief. What was it you were saying about a "stupid white man's film"?

Ooh, we got ourselves a good old-fashioned film snob throwdown! Alright, stop whacking each other with the purses, who's gonna throw the first punch?

Now it all becomes clear.

Why don't you let us know who you are so we can critique your life-affirming art, as Tom has done? or are you just another internet coward?
Pretty obvious to me dude's a wannabe who hasn't had a fraction of the success or output that Tom has. Lils, you were doing a lot better for yourself before sharing your random and generally boorish personal history as some kind of great qualification to whine about the film. You wanna bag on the film, bag on the film--and you've already done that, so don't bore us with your tepid travelogue, Horatio Alger animations and/or sweeping lame statements on cinema that belie more of a rookie sensibility than any particular depth of knowledge in the field. Maybe it's time to move on, your hatred of the film has been duly noted. *yawn*

sigh

Well as this is an exclusive board for exclusive buddy boys only I will gladly move on.

The kind of responses you make give me a clue as to your characters and I guess if you support this kind of film then you are not worth my time.

I don't believe any one of you has even taken drugs so what would you know anyway.

Just read the Mail on Sunday and you will get the truth you believe.

hahaha, man you have no idea about anyone here, especially our personal lives. i don't even understand why any of our drug uses have any relevence to this conversation or our ability to enjoy the film. seems to me that you think one MUST be under the influence of something to enjoy tom's film.

also, there is no exclusivity here, you're just coming in on the tail end of several years of discussing this film. opposing views are always welcomed, but broad-sweeping and ignorant generalizations will always get you flamed. i'm sure you're aware of this by now, aren't you?

This is where I whistle sweetly to myself, right? ;)

(sorry Klimmy, just pullin ya leg)

Oh, come on, surely we can't have a stalemate after this? I was up for some more drama! Missing the old banning stick personally, but hey, don't mean I can't enjoy it.

Yes, his moral superiority really shone through in the end. And he went 0/3 on spelling.

Shit, now we gotta find us a more authentic film snob, somebody who can really get up under Klimmy's skin. Burrow right up in there.

Don't go yet! I'll be up all night now wondering what this cryptic remark is supposed to mean.

Eh, it's a UK thing. The Mail on Sunday is a tabloid that has about as much truth in it as Bush.
